YOOM is the avatar creator of the future. Avatars are computerised representations of players in the online gaming world. They can be made to look like the real person or digitally augmented. With a few off-the-shelf cameras and AI algorithms, YOOM generates the same effect. YOOM’s software is “sub-millimeter accurate,” according to business founder Gilad Talmon. YOOM has secured $50 million in funding and employs 80 individuals in New York, Tokyo, Los Angeles, and Tel Aviv. Using YOOM technology, then-Israeli President Reuven Rivlin taped an Independence Day welcome for 2020.
