A robotic medical start-up, Able Innovations, has received a grant of USD $6MM to advance its ALTA Platform for the purpose of introducing and developing robot-assisted technologies in healthcare and reducing the burden on the workforce. This platform will enable easy and automated patient transfer from one place to another. The founders of Able Innovations Jayiesh Singh and Philip Chang have created this platform after gaining experience in long-term care and patient transfer. The CEO believes that these tasks put great strain on the nurses and after the pandemic, these ways are no longer sustainable.
