A team of motor neuron disease (MND) experts from six universities in the UK has been awarded funding of £4.25 million to work on MND treatments collaboratively. This grant has been awarded by a group of charities, i.e., LifeArc, MND Association, MND Scotland, and My Name’5 Doddie Foundation, and researcher organisations sponsored by the government viz., Medical Research Council (MRC) and National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR). These organisations are supporting researchers from King’s College London, University of Sheffield, University of Liverpool, University College London, University of Oxford and the University of Edinburgh to discover treatments and rule out the aspects that act as hindrances in MND research in the soonest way.
