Google is aligning itself with grocers Safeway and Target to feature weekly grocery discounts on Google Pay mobile app. Shoppers will receive discount notifications and reminders on their phone when a shopper is close to any of the grocery shops. To avail these offers, customers will have to download the Google Pay app and turn location-based services on. To support this venture, Google is partnering with Instacart to provide relevant information to customers.
