According to the study, those who consume more zinc in their diet have a roughly one-third lower likelihood of migraine. Researchers from the Chinese PLA General Hospital in Beijing evaluated data from the U.S. National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey. Approximately 20% of the 11,088 individuals had a migraine or severe headache in the previous three months. Researchers discovered that zinc is a key vitamin that regulates migraine, providing evidence for its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory characteristics. Those who ingested 15.8 mg or more of zinc per day had a lower risk of migraine than those who consumed 5.9 mg or less per day. According to Dr. Liu and colleagues, the findings contribute to the expanding body of knowledge concerning dietary variables and migraine.
