Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, along with leaders from UN agencies and government partners, introduced the Global Initiative on Digital Health (GIDH). Managed by the WHO, GIDH aimed to catalyse country-led digital health transformations through enhanced collaboration and knowledge exchange. Aligned with the Global Strategy on Digital Health 2020–2025, GIDH prioritised assessing country needs, aligning resources, and fostering capacity building for sustainable digital health solutions. It seeked to facilitate the implementation of strategic objectives while encouraging local development and adaptation of digital health technologies. Membership was open to all institutions engaged in digital health, highlighting inclusivity and collaboration as key drivers for advancing global digital health initiatives.
