IKEA, the largest furniture firm, is making changes to overcome supply chain disruptions. The brand invests to buy ships and containers to offer prompt delivery amidst supply chain chaos. It is also redirecting inventory between stockrooms and removing few unavailable products temporarily. IKEA’s stores in North America and Europe were highly affected by the pandemic-led supply chain woes. Customers refurbished their homes during the pandemic, causing the furniture demand to surge. The retailer’s sales went up 6% from the previous year and online sales increased by 73% and made up 26% of total retail sales.
