Codè Crai Ovest, an Italian cooperative supermarket chain, is all set to launch 30 new stores by early 2022. The retailer has invested €30 million to upgrade the equipment renewal process to save energy and augment sustainable activities. Turin-based Codè Crai Ovest has operated over 400 outlets in north-western Italy. It has 220 members in the Piedmont, Liguria, Valle d’Aosta and Lombardy regions. The cooperative chain reported a 25% increase in turnover in 2020, to over €340 million. It is now estimating to have a 15% increase this year.
