Glovo, the largest digital delivery platform in Spain, has acquired two delivery firms after raising $531 million in a funding round. The firm has struck a deal to buy Lola Market, a Spanish grocery delivery firm, and Portuguese delivery firm Mercadao. Barcelona-based Glovo is investing in these firms to grow its quick delivery business in the Southern European region. The firm has already bought a delivery firm named Delivery Hero SE to expand its outreach to Eastern Europe.
