According to the survey carried out by Paris-based market research firm Ipsos, the metaverse is a hot topic among international audiences. Half of the participating individuals from 29 countries said that they are excited to interact in the metaverse, with higher positive comments coming from the developing countries. Out of 21,005 online adults, 80% showed familiarisation with the concept of virtual reality, 53% had heard about the metaverse, and 61% knew about augmented reality. The majority of the respondents were sceptical about digital asset trading, including NFTs and cryptocurrency in the metaverse, however, they believed that augmented reality-empowered remote education and digital entertainment can drastically change their daily lives.
