Walmart has launched five new health stores, known as Walmart Health, in Florida, US. The retailer already operates 20 such health stores in Arkansas, Georgia, and Illinois. Walmart Health stores offer primary and urgent care, labs, X-rays and diagnostics, along with dental, optical and hearing services to consumers. In addition to that, it also provides behavioural health and counselling in one facility, with affordable and transparent prices for patients. The retailer has teamed up with Epic, an IT software giant, to launch a digital portal for registering, billing, and scheduling patients. The Florida location will be the first to have this portal.
