Walmart has teamed up with Snapchat, an American social app with filters, to have a new AR lens inspiring mobile users to find recipes. The shoppable augmented reality (AR) content will help users make unique recipes with ingredients present in their fridges and cabinets. They can also order the ingredients required for recipes from the Walmart website. The Snap Scan & Shop lens allows users to scan food objects in a refrigerator or pantry with a smartphone camera to develop a list of 10 recipes having those items. Allrecipes, a recipe platform, will help consumers generate a grocery list and will also take the users to the Walmart website for grocery shopping.
