The Emirates Health Services (EHS) becomes the first healthcare authority to step into the metaverse by offering virtual consultations and healthcare access through VR. By the end of 2022, EHS plans to launch consultations focused on mental health and customer happiness. In early 2023, EHS intends to launch family health counselling. The purpose of this move is to improve mental health services by creating specialised mental health units with the name “Halfway Villas”. EHS also plans to launch a hotline and digital hospital focused on mental health. The services provided by Halfway Villas include intervention, prevention, and rehabilitation.
