Mars Wrigley is teaming up with Olyns to offer the Sweet Rewards Challenge, a gamified way to collect plastic candy and gum containers. Beginning this week, Northern California residents who put eligible candy containers in an Olyns Reverse Vending Machine will be entered to win thousands of dollars in prizes. For a short time, the challenge will be available at select stores in the San Francisco Bay Area. Olyns’ plug-and-play RVM Cubes have a 65-inch HD video display, providing marketers with a uniquely sustainable means to reach consumers in-store. During the Sweet Rewards Challenge, the screen will display colourful slot machine imagery and “winning” announcements, in addition to commercials and sustainability information, whenever a recycler earns a reward.
