Unilever has announced that it has become a founding member of a new association of European cosmetics and personal care companies committed to raising the standard of ecological, ethical, and responsible practises. The Cosmetics Europe Commit for Our Planet project, which was launched last week, intends to create industry-wide sustainability pledges that are inclusive, quantifiable, and adaptable to evolving social and environmental requirements across three major themes: climate, packaging, and nature.

Rebecca Marmot, Unilever’s Chief Sustainability Officer, notes, “At Unilever, our purpose is to make sustainable living commonplace. It is something we believe in passionately and wholeheartedly, which is why we are proud to be a pioneer of the Cosmetics Europe Commit for Our Planet initiative.”
