Walmart is planning to expand its drone delivery to 4 million households in the US. The retail giant has extended its partnership with DroneUp, a drone and tech firm, to deliver around 1M packages to consumers via drones. David Guggina, senior VP of innovation and automation at Walmart US, announced that the drone service will be expanded to Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Texas, Utah and Virginia. Customers can choose and order thousands of products and receive them at their doorsteps within 30 minutes. Walmart is charging a delivery fee of $3.99, and shoppers can order items totalling up to 10 pounds, as that is the limit the drones can easily carry.
