Berry Global Group, a business that specialises on creative packaging and engineered goods, has launched a collaborative initiative with Coca-Cola to offer the beverage giant tethered caps, which would reduce littering and increase recycling. Approximately 400 million tethered caps have been installed on Coca-Cola bottling plants in Germany, Spain, and the United Kingdom, with the programme set to extend into more European nations. The innovative closure solution has a tamper-evident band that can be reclosed after being broken, and while open, it gives a broad angle for easy access to the liquid. The redesigned cap maintains a simple and pleasant user experience while also emphasising product safety and security. Coca-Cola has embraced these new regulations as part of the company’s objective of making its packaging 100% recyclable by 2025.
