An AR-integrated retail pop-up will be held in New York City’s SoHo through a collaboration between AR fashion platform ZERO10 and creative agency Crosby Studios. QR codes that provide access to the AR try-on products either in real-time or through photo upload will be placed in fitting rooms. Salvatore Ferragamo created a shop in June that temporarily integrated holograms and NFT. Designers like Tommy Cash and Maisie Wilen have also previously employed augmented reality try-on online. More businesses will soon adjust to the new reality where such store components are the norm, according to ZERO10 CEO George Yashin. Shopify’s study claims that the adoption of AR may increase conversion by 97% while reducing returns by 40%.
