Alimentation Couche-Tard, a Canadian convenience store chain, has announced the installation of automated checkout systems in partnership with Mashgin, a tech firm. The C-store chain will install the self-checkout systems at over 7,000 of its retail locations in the US, Canada, and Europe. The retailer will deploy 10,000 of these automated devices in stores operating under its Circle K and Couche-Tard brands over the next three years. The convenience retailer plans to support various tech startups and deploy their tech solutions at its stores.
