For the first time, designer Heron Preston will walk the runway during New York Fashion Week with his fall 2023 collection. He attended Parsons School of Design, and his partnership with the NYC Department of Sanitation helped put him in the spotlight. The series will have “reflective of the city” HPNY designs and logos. “I really want to promote the notion of a uniform and the new young expression,” Preston explained. He also revealed a new version of his iconic 3D-printed shoe, which he produced with the German business Zellerfeld, as well as outfits “inspired by found objects” with Americana themes like varsity jackets and patchwork denim. There will be several pieces with hefty chainmail as well.
