AI & Robotics: Albertsons is planning to grow the number of smart carts to dozens of its retail outlets across the US. The grocery retailer teamed up with Veeve, a tech firm, to develop and roll out these smart carts.

Store of the Future: Coles has launched plastic bags, made from 20% of marine waste mainly from Malaysia and 80% of recycled plastic waste, to grow its sustainability efforts across its stores in Australia.

Online Grocery: FreshDirect, a US-based online grocer, will be resuming its delivery service called Rosé Express in the Long Island area. This summer, the online retailer will offer a two-hour delivery of wine, beer, and spirits.

Consumer Trends: Coles, the Australian grocer, has teamed up with Singapore’s largest grocery supermarket chain, NTUC FairPrice, to roll out its private and third-party labelled products in Singapore.

Digital Supply Chain: Unilever has teamed up with Robomart, a US-based store-hailing platform, to deliver sweet treats to customers through The Ice Cream Shop.
