During the pandemic, Walmart witnessed a surge in Spanish queries more than five times compared to pre-pandemic levels as shoppers purchased more online. The company also found that by 2060, Hispanic and Latino communities would comprise more than one-fourth of the U.S. population. To welcome them and offer them a convenient shopping experience, Walmart is extending the Spanish language search capability to its website. The retail giant is further planning to add predictive search and continual personalisation and contextualisation. This move will attract broader groups and ethnicities of customers and would be seamless for them.
