SPAR, the Dutch multi-retailer, has officially launched its first supermarket outlet in Latvia, a country located in the middle of Lithuania and Estonia. Last year, SPAR International granted a licence to S&P Logistics for the operation of the brand in the country. The 720-square-metre venue would carry an in-store bakery along with grocery and fresh products. The shoppers’ community of Saldus can drop by to run their grocery errands. Andris Vilcmeiers, SPAR Latvia board chair, detailed that they have worked hard to set up this store to meet consumer demands.
