Albertsons is making some transformative moves to change its existing and latest store layouts to offer a seamless shopping experience to customers. At the Five Mile Rd. and Ustick Rd. stores in Boise, Albertsons would replace conveyor belts, traditional checkout lanes and counters with self-checkout tech. To support shoppers with the latest tech, Albertsons would equip checkout stations with a ‘checker assist’ feature to allow the assisted checkout attendant to help them. These assistants would be extra attentive in busy seasons, including holidays and sales, to provide superior customer service.
