Digital disruptions are happening in every industry, and the restaurant industry wasn’t immune to them either, for all the good reasons. Earlier, the dining experience was dependent on servers to remain in touch with customers throughout the dining experience. But now, eateries have embedded QR codes for customers to view the menu, order through digital avenues and pay for the order through contactless, online methods. The latest study mentioned in the Salesforce blog revealed that 79% of people keep a food delivery app now. About 51% of customers have installed at least one app to order groceries and food. Through digitisation, restaurant owners can increase revenues, decrease ordering plus serving time, and increase customer satisfaction and loyalty.
