Plenty Unlimited Inc., a vertical farming platform, is soon launching the world’s largest vertical farm in Virginia. The vertical farm will be located next to Richmond, Va. Plenty has already started producing organic strawberries for Driscoll’s, a California-based retailer offering fresh fruits. By the end of 2023 or early 2024, the facility would commence offering organic produce to its partner grocers. The vertical farming project is worth $300 million and captures an area of around 120 acre. The facility would create around 300 employment opportunities, Arama Kukutai, CEO of San Francisco-based Plenty, reveals.
