Loblaw Companies, one of the best and leading grocers in Canada, has tapped DoorDash to offer an on-demand grocery delivery service to Canadian consumers. Loblaw already runs its own last-mile grocery delivery platform, the PC Express app. On one hand, this partnership will expand the grocery options for DoorDash users. DoorDash will have access to 1,100 Loblaw banner stores, including Loblaws, Shoppers Drug Mart, Real Canadian Superstore, Atlantic Superstore, Provigo, and Maxi & Cie, as reported by Galen G. Weston, president and chairman of Loblaw, and Tony Xu, co-founder-and-CEO-of San Francisco-based DoorDash.
