After witnessing a continuous period of success, Instacart’s growth seems to be shambling. As per a new research report from 1010data, Instacart noticed its sales rose 4% year-over-year and 3.5% year-to-date, a stark drop since the pandemic. The pandemic led grocers to rush to third-party delivery platforms to deliver products to customers. Over time, grocers created their own in-house logistics operations and became independent. Moreover, with rapid delivery firms like Gopuff zeroing in on private-labelled offerings, Instacart has increased competition and decreased sales. Jonah Ellin, chief product officer at 1010data, says that Instacart needs to recapture its growth through improvised strategies.
