Albert Heijn and Delhaize have acquired stakes and partnered with Adhese, a Belgium-based digital advertising technology platform. CEO Marit van Egmond and Wouter Kolk, CEO of Ahold Delhaize Europe & Indonesia, shared that shoppers want an expedited and seamless digital shopping experience, including online and in-store services plus promotions. The association with Adhese will aid Albert Heijn and Delhaize in formulating an enhanced omnichannel platform. Albert Heijn will be the leader to usher the project through its AH Media Services division. Later, Delhaize and other chains of the brand will follow.
