According to a recent survey by Brick Meets Click/Mercatus, the online grocery market has seen a decline for the third consecutive month in October. These statistics are a marker of changes in retail channel dynamics, users, and consumption patterns. The calculated sales for October totaled $7.8 billion, which is 3.7% lower as compared to last year’s sales, which were calculated to be $8.1 billion.

The survey noticed that the average amount spent on groceries per home during the final week of October jumped 15% over the same period the previous year, demonstrating the consequences of sustained price inflation on overall grocery expenditure.
