Students at Sandwell College in West Bromwich put on virtual reality headsets earlier this year to practise for interviews.Another talking avatar that stands in for the AI software system tests their 3D avatars, which are cartoon-like 3D images of themselves. Simple inquiries like “tell me about your biggest accomplishments” might be as difficult as “do you like to be loved or feared?” The goal, according to firm CEO Christophe Mallet, is to make it easier and more productive for employees to prepare for interviews. He thinks that technology could help level the playing field for individuals from less affluent backgrounds who may not otherwise have the chance to practise in a professional atmosphere.
