ChristianaCare becomes the first healthcare organisation in Philadelphia to deploy a collaborative robot, Moxi, also being referred to as ‘cobot’, for the assistance of nurses. Moxi will perform duties like making deliveries and performing other crucial non-clinical task, thereby giving nurses the opportunity to spend more time in taking care of the patients. ChristianaCare is ready to deploy five more Moxi robots with the help of $1.5 million grant from the American Nurses Foundation. According to research, simple tasks rob nurses of 33% of their time. Moxi will enable nurses to remain focused on the patients.
